THE CROSS-CONNECTICUT RUN FOR
MENTAL HEALTH
WHEN: Saturday, May 14, 2022
WHAT: A roughly 57-mile epic journey north to south across the state of Connecticut along the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail.
WHY: To raise funds for mental health awareness and treatment.
THE DETAILS: For the third consecutive year, a band of runners will straddle the state line between Massachusetts and Connecticut in the cool of an early morning. Their destination: the waters of New Haven, the other end of the state, 57 miles away.
This is the Cross-Connecticut Run for Mental Health. It's many things, but it's not a race.
It's a fund-raiser for mental health awareness and treatment.
It's a statement that we're willing to raise awareness of the mental health epidemic in America - and do something about it.
It's a chance to run for the people in our lives -- sometimes ourselves -- who are struggling with mental health challenges.
It's an opportunity to traverse our beautiful state on foot, and make new friends along the way.
It's a woods-to-coast adventure that gives you pretty intense bragging rights at work. "What did you do this weekend?" "Oh, I ran across the entire state."
